Hi, and welcome to the FS2004-Multilayer part of this Forum.
Today, I will be showing you how you can play Flight Simulator 2004 Online.
First,
You will need the following program,
http://www.chocolatesoftware.com/fshost/ Once you have downloaded it, You will need to extract the folder (the Default Windows extractor will work fine)
and then run the file named "FSHostSpy13.exe"
Once the FSHostSpy in running, You will see a BIG, and i mean, BIG list of servers hosting Flight simulator games. Once you have found one you wish to use (normally one with a good Ping) all you have to do is click it!
You should then see under the top right hand box is another box named "IP-Address", click the button that says :"copy to clip board"
Now this has been done, Open up flight Simulator 2004.
Click "Create a Flight" and select the Airport, Aircraft, Weather, and Time/Date. After selecting your settings. Click "Multiplayer", You will see a button that says: "open Multiplayer Session" click it! you should see four (4) box's
The only one you need to worry about is the IP Address box, as you should no what to do in the "name" box!! (just put your name!!!)
in the IP-Address box, you need to put in the IP-Address from the program FSHostSpy, if you clicked on the button "copy to clip board", then just press CTRL + V to paste the IP In, if not, go back to the FSHostSpy, and copy down the IP, and type it in to FS2004.
Now this is done, click the "Search" button, and in the "Session" box you should see a session "
Appear" click on the session, Now click the button in the bottom right hand corner that says "join", a box should appear saying "Server Chat" or something like that. Go back into Create a flight, and click "Fly Now", You should now be in the Online session and see other people there (if your at the right airport!)
I hope This Tutorial helped, please leave a reply to this post if you have any problem's!
Thanks,
Josh
